Check out the fantastic 2011 Pipe Masters trophy surfboard by surf artist Phil Roberts! The 2011 Pipe Masters competition was held in memory of surfer Andy Irons who had died the previous year. Roberts re-created an iconic shot of Andy Irons by photographer Brian Bielmann, painted directly onto a Pipeline Gun shaped by legendary surfer/shaper Gerry Lopez (aka ‘Mr Pipeline’).

Prior to the 2011 Pipe event — during a post heat interview, the newly crowned 11x ASP surfing world champion Kelly Slater was asked "What’s Next?", and he said:
At this point I’m just gonna be focused on Pipe. Just trying to, you know, I’d love to win Pipe. Every year Phil Roberts makes an amazing trophy, that board that Gerry shapes it, they put a Jeff Divine photo on and Phil Roberts paints it up, and I mean, that thing is, in my assessment, the prized possession in surfing. And you know not just to win that contest, but to have that piece of art, you know, it’s really like a piece of surf history.
The 2011 event was won by surfer Kieren Perrow. Here he is celebrating with his trophy surfboard and Gerry Lopez:
